📢 EXEMPTION FOR 2ND-YEAR COMPULSORY ENGLISH COURSES

(Academic English III & IV / Academic Communication Skills III & IV)

Eligible students

Students who meet one of the following:

• Were exempted from the 1st-year Academic English courses by completing the requirements of the School of Foreign Languages
  OR
• Passed both Academic English I and Academic English II (or Academic Communication Skills I and II) with 85 or above in each course for both terms

How to Apply

1. Download the Exemption Petition.
2. Print, fill out, and sign the petition.
3. Submit in person to your own course instructor only.
4. Deadline: 5:00 PM – October 11, 2026

Important Reminders

• This exemption is optional and must be requested by the student.
• Students must be enrolled in the relevant course to apply.
• Email submissions will NOT be accepted.
• Petitions given to anyone other than your instructor will NOT be accepted.

If approved

• You will be exempt from all requirements of the specified courses.
• Course credits will be deducted from your total credit load.
• No scores or letter grades will be given.
• These courses will NOT affect your CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average).

📢 2. SINIF ZORUNLU İNGİLİZCE DERSLERİ MUAFİYETİ

Kimler başvurabilir?

Aşağıdaki durumlardan birine sahip öğrenciler:

• 1. sınıf Academic English derslerinden, Yabancı Diller Yüksekokulu’nun belirlediği gereklilikleri yerine getirerek muaf olmuş öğrenciler
  VEYA
• Academic English I ve Academic English II (veya Academic Communication Skills I ve II) derslerinin her birinden her dönem için 85 ve üzeri not alan öğrenciler

Başvuru Şekli

1. Muafiyet Dilekçesini indirin.
2. Dilekçeyi yazdırın, doldurun ve imzalayın.
3. Yalnızca kendi ders hocanıza şahsen teslim edin.
4. Son Tarih: 11 Ekim 2026 – Saat 17:00

Önemli Hatırlatmalar

• Bu muafiyet isteğe bağlıdır ve öğrencinin talebi üzerine gerçekleşir.
• Başvuru yapabilmek için öğrencinin ilgili derse kayıtlı olması gerekir.
• E-posta ile başvurular kabul edilmeyecektir.
• Dersin öğretim görevlisi dışında herhangi bir kişiye verilen dilekçeler kabul edilmeyecektir.

Başvurunuz kabul edilirse

• İlgili derslerin tüm gerekliliklerinden muaf olursunuz.
• Ders kredileri toplam kredi yükünüzden düşülür.
• Not veya harf notu verilmez.
• Bu dersler GNO’nuzu (Genel Not Ortalaması) etkilemez.
