Mission

To train physiotherapists, educators, and researchers who take respect for human dignity and rights as a basis, are committed to ethical values, adopt lifelong learning, and have effective communication skills. It is aimed to provide individuals who can analyze the current health needs of society, adopt evidence-based practices, have professional autonomy, and are innovative and contemporary. Our department aims to produce original and qualified scientific knowledge by supporting interdisciplinary collaborations in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, to train experts who have adopted a research culture, and to present the produced knowledge for the benefit of society. At the same time, it adopts as a duty to improve individuals’ movement and functions, increase quality of life, and contribute to the protection and development of public health through practices based on scientific foundations. The main mission of our department is to train competent professionals who can successfully represent their profession and institution at national and international levels.

To be a leading education and research center that is preferred with its graduates through a qualified education approach, stands out with the scientific knowledge it produces and the contributions it offers to society, and develops innovative approaches in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. It aims to adopt contemporary and effective learning models in education, to gain visibility at the international level with its research outputs, and to establish a structure that is taken as an example in its field. In this direction, among its main priorities are supporting the global interaction of students and academic staff, strengthening professional development, advancing preventive and promotive physiotherapy practices, and providing scientific and structural contributions that will further advance the position of the profession within the health system.
