TECHNICAL VISIT TO İŞBİR OPTİK BY OPTICIANRY STUDENTS

Students of the Opticianry Program at Ankara Medipol University Vocational School of Health Services made a technical visit on 2 June 2026 to the İşbir Optik (EssilorLuxottica) Lens Factory, one of the leading companies in the sector. Second-year students of the Opticianry Program took part in the technical visit, which was coordinated by Lect. Tuğba Çevik and Lect. Muammer Çevik. During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe optical lens production processes on site and received detailed information from company officials about the different stages of production. Over the course of the factory visit, students were introduced to the production stages of optical lenses, quality control processes, coating technologies, modern production systems and the latest technologies used in the sector. By observing in practice the knowledge they had acquired in their theoretical courses, students gained valuable experience that will contribute to their professional development. Throughout the technical visit, industry professionals provided information on current developments in the optical sector, production technologies and career opportunities. Students were able to examine production processes up close and put their questions directly to the experts. Organized by the Ankara Medipol University Opticianry Program, the technical visit contributed to the development of students' professional knowledge and skills and was also regarded as an important event in terms of strengthening university-industry cooperation.
