ECTS Information Package

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is an international credit system based on a student-centred approach to education and built on student workload. ECTS represents the total workload a student needs to successfully complete a course, covering all academic activities such as theoretical lectures, practical sessions, laboratory work, seminars, independent study, assignments, projects and examinations.

ECTS is one of the key components of the Bologna Process, which aims to enhance quality assurance, transparency and international recognition in higher education. Ankara Medipol University develops its degree programmes in line with the principles of the Bologna Process and structures its curricula and credit system in accordance with ECTS standards.

The Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ) is the national qualifications system established in line with the objectives of the European Higher Education Area. TYYÇ provides a framework that defines the knowledge, skills and competences acquired through higher education programmes at national and international levels, making them comparable and recognisable. In this way, programme qualifications, learning outcomes and course outcomes are linked within a systematic structure, and quality assurance processes are supported.

Ankara Medipol University conducts its education and training activities in line with the principles of the Bologna Process, ECTS and TYYÇ, offering its students a transparent, student-focused learning environment consistent with national and international standards. The ECTS and TYYÇ Information Package prepared within this scope contains detailed information on the associate, undergraduate and graduate programmes offered at our university.

The information package provides detailed information on programme objectives, programme qualifications, curricula, course contents, learning outcomes, ECTS credits, student workloads, assessment and evaluation methods, as well as all other academic information prepared within the framework of the Bologna Process.
