Award Ceremony Held for the First Patent Owned by Ankara Medipol University.

The patent application titled “PRONE POSITION CHANGE APPARATUS” was approved by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, making it the first patent held by our university as the rights holder. The invention was developed by Assist. Prof. Nursemin Ünal, Assist. Prof. Emine Bayrak Aykan and Assist. Prof. Bediye Öztaş, faculty members of the Department of Nursing at the Ankara Medipol University Faculty of Health Sciences, together with our student Yaren Karaaslan and Res. Asst. Demet Bal of the Department of Nursing at the Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Health Sciences. Following a patent application filed through the Ankara Medipol University Technology Transfer Office, the invention was approved by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office under code TR 2021 019707 B.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Zeki Şengil, Rector of Ankara Medipol University, presented plaques of appreciation to the inventor faculty members whose patent application was approved.

At the ceremony, attended by members of the University Senate and staff of the Technology Transfer Office, Assist. Prof. Nursemin Ünal, Head of the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, received the plaques of appreciation on behalf of the inventor faculty members.

Our Rector congratulated the inventors whose application was approved and stated that the university administration has always supported such work.
