Research Services
Our facilities consist of scientific research environments equipped with modern analysis and testing devices, where researchers working in the public sector, private institutions, universities and industry can conduct research in line with national and international standards.
At the Ankara Medipol University Health Sciences Education, Research and Application Laboratories, the following can be carried out:
- Routine tissue processing,
- Imaging with high-resolution microscopes,
- Viability and differentiation analyses of eukaryotic cells, cancer cells, stem cells and similar,
- Cytotoxicity testing,
- PCR-based research using conventional PCR, real-time PCR and gel imaging,
- Natural and recombinant protein analysis research.
MICROBIOLOGICAL ANALYSES
Microbiological tests, including indicator microorganism tests and pathogen tests, are performed on food samples.
Microbiological analyses are performed on water samples such as drinking and utility water, natural spring water, natural mineral water, potable water, thermal spring water, pool water, seawater and wastewater.
Microbiological efficacy tests are performed on antiseptic and disinfectant products used to eliminate microorganisms on living and non-living surfaces.
Within the main group of disinfectants and general biocidal products, microbiological efficacy tests are applied to products for human hygiene; products used in medical, veterinary, food, industrial, household and institutional settings; products used in drinking water and pool water; and dry film products of dry paints.
For cosmetic products, qualitative tests for the detection of pathogenic microorganisms; quantitative tests including aerobic mesophilic bacteria, yeast and mould counts; and the evaluation of antimicrobial preservative efficacy (challenge test) are performed.
Efficacy control testing of UV lamps used in microbiology laboratories and biosafety cabinets is performed using Enterobacter aerogenes bacteria.
