Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology

Dear Students, 

As the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology, operating within the Division of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences, our primary goal is to train competent pharmacists who understand the nature of microorganisms, their pathogenic mechanisms and the processes of antimicrobial resistance, and who specialize in sterilization and disinfection protocols. Our curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory practice in light of current scientific data on the production of products of microbial origin and their quality control processes. Through the research we conduct in our laboratories with modern infrastructure, we offer our students an interactive learning environment. Together with our academic staff, we closely follow scientific developments within the framework of national and international collaborations, and we continue our work, which will shape the future of the pharmacy profession, at full pace.
