Nursing Students Hold a “Health Education” Session and a “Soul-Nourishing Reading and Music Event” for Nursing Home Residents and Staff

Third-year students of the Department of Nursing at Ankara Medipol University Faculty of Health Sciences, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Ayşe ÇAL, delivered a “Personal Hygiene” training session to the residents and staff of the Demetevler Fatma Üçer Nursing Home, Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center as part of their Public Health Nursing practicum course.
The training program, which the nursing home residents attended with great interest, was warmly received by the institution’s management and staff, who requested that further training sessions on different topics be organized in the coming days.
As part of the “Soul-Nourishing Reading and Music Event”, our students read aloud poems and short stories they had selected for the elderly residents, accompanied by live music. During the program, in which the residents also took part with their own poems and songs, our students handed out pink carnations and offered their wishes to the residents for the upcoming holiday. We wish our students continued success in their work.
