Nursing Students Hold School Health Activities

Students of the Department of Nursing at our university's Faculty of Health Sciences held health screenings and health education sessions for children attending Ertuğrul Gazi Secondary School. As part of the Public Health Nursing practicum, conducted under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Ayşe ÇAL, blood pressure measurements, BCG vaccination, eye screenings and oral and dental health screenings were carried out. The screening results and assessments were shared with the school administration.

Using the training sessions and materials they prepared on time management and safe internet use, coping with stress, effective communication in preventing peer bullying, personal hygiene and infection prevention, and healthy eating and exercise, our students supported the secondary school children in adopting behaviours that protect and promote their health.
