Award Ceremony Held for the First Patent Owned by Ankara Medipol University

Ankara Medipol University's patent application titled “PRONE POSITION CHANGE APPARATUS” has been approved by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, becoming the first patent granted to our university as the rights holder.

The invention was developed by faculty members of the Department of Nursing at the Ankara Medipol University Faculty of Health Sciences, Assist. Prof. Nursemin Ünal, Assist. Prof. Emine Bayrak Aykan and Assist. Prof. Bediye Öztaş, together with our student Yaren Karaaslan and Res. Asst. Demet Bal of the Department of Nursing at the Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Health Sciences. Following the patent application filed through the Ankara Medipol University Technology Transfer Office, the invention was approved by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office under the code TR 2021 019707 B.

Rector of Ankara Medipol University Prof. Dr. Ahmet Zeki Şengil presented plaques of appreciation to the faculty members whose patent application was approved.

At the ceremony, attended by members of the University Senate and staff of the Technology Transfer Office, Assist. Prof. Nursemin Ünal, Head of the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, received the plaques of appreciation on behalf of the inventors.

Our Rector congratulated the inventors on the approval of their application and stated that, as the university administration, they will always support such work.

Ankara Medipol University Rectorate
