TRAINING DETAILS:
In Turkey, mediation is, as a rule, an optional dispute resolution method, meaning it operates on an entirely voluntary basis. Mediation is a path that can be pursued in disputes over which the parties can freely exercise their rights and which can generally be resolved through settlement. In this context, it is not possible to resort to mediation in cases where a court decision is strictly required (such as establishing paternity or divorce). Mediation is a dispute resolution method that focuses on interests rather than on who is right, and therefore works on a win-win basis, ultimately benefiting both parties.
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Under Law No. 6325 on Mediation in Civil Disputes, published in Official Gazette No. 28331 dated 22 June 2012, and the Regulation on the Law on Mediation in Civil Disputes, published in Official Gazette No. 28540 dated 26 January 2013, Faculty of Law graduates with a minimum of 5 years of professional seniority may begin practicing after completing the training provided by an authorized institution, passing the examination administered by the Ministry of Justice, and registering in the mediator registry.
