We Are With You in Supporting Healthy and Safe Living and Overcoming Barriers

As the Oral and Dental Health Program of the Vocational School of Health Services, we successfully held our event themed “We Are With You in Supporting Healthy and Safe Living and Overcoming Barriers” as part of our community engagement activities.

Our second-year Oral and Dental Health students, under the supervision of Lect. Nursel Dündar and Lect. Semiha Erkoca, provided one-on-one and group training sessions on preventive oral and dental health to 350 children aged 7–13 living in the Pursaklar Love Homes affiliated with the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. As part of the event, the height and weight of 30 children were also measured to assess their physical development. Through this event, we aimed to prepare our students professionally for preventive oral and dental health services while also helping them develop an awareness of social responsibility. Raising oral and dental health awareness in the community at an early age and contributing to preventive health services are among the most important outcomes of our event. We extend our sincere thanks to the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and the Directorate of Ankara Children's Homes Complex for their support in bringing this meaningful, community-focused initiative to life.
