Mission and Vision
MISSION
The mission of the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office at Ankara Medipol University is to foster international academic cooperation and mobility in alignment with the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme. The Office is committed to promoting excellence, inclusiveness, and innovation in higher education by facilitating high-quality and impact-oriented mobility opportunities, including student mobility for studies, student mobility for traineeships, staff mobility for teaching, and staff mobility for training.
Through the effective design, implementation, and monitoring of these mobility actions, the Office ensures that all participants benefit from academically enriching, professionally relevant, and culturally transformative experiences. It aims to support students in developing global competencies, employability skills, and academic achievements, while enabling academic and administrative staff to enhance their pedagogical, professional, and institutional capacities.
By strengthening strategic international partnerships and ensuring full compliance with Erasmus+ quality standards, the Office contributes to sustainable institutional development and the internationalisation of higher education. Through transparent, efficient, and digitally integrated processes (including Erasmus Without Paper – EWP), it promotes accessibility, equal opportunities, and excellence in all mobility activities.
VISION
The vision of the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office at Ankara Medipol University is to become a leading and innovative centre of excellence in international academic mobility and cooperation within the European Higher Education Area and globally. The Office aspires to set benchmarks in the implementation of Erasmus+ mobility actions, including student mobility for studies and traineeships, as well as staff mobility for teaching and training.
It envisions a dynamic and integrated mobility ecosystem in which all participants actively contribute to knowledge exchange, institutional capacity building, and the development of a globally connected academic community. By prioritising quality, digitalisation, sustainability, and inclusiveness, the Office aims to maximise the academic, professional, and societal impact of all mobility activities.
Through continuous innovation, strong international networks, and alignment with European Commission priorities, the Office seeks to position Ankara Medipol University as a highly attractive and competitive partner institution, fostering globally competent graduates and highly skilled academic and administrative staff.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- To implement the Erasmus+ Programme by closely following its rules and regulations.
- To apply for Erasmus Projects in compliance with the ECHE principles and the rules specified in the Erasmus Programme Guide.
- To efficiently manage all processes related to the programme, including the application process, documentation process, selection process, student and staff mobility processes, budgeting process, agreement and contracting process, and reporting process.
- To effectively manage the University’s Erasmus inter-institutional agreement processes.
- To coordinate with faculties for incoming participants within the scope of Erasmus+ in order to ensure the preparation of all official documents and to conduct international correspondence with partner institutions.
- To inform incoming and outgoing students and staff about programme content, as well as the procedures and roadmaps to be followed for participation in exchange programmes.
- To be accountable to the Rector for all relevant tasks and procedures carried out within the office and to fulfill the duties assigned by the Rector.
- To ensure that the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office works in coordination with other international units and institutions while representing the University.
