Message from the Head of Department

The Department of Nursing is among the departments that began their academic activities with the founding of our university. Within the Faculty of Health Sciences, two separate undergraduate programs are offered: one taught in Turkish and one taught 100% in English. Our programs have been designed in line with European standards and structured on the basis of the National Core Curriculum for Nursing Education (HUÇEP) approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Quality education is delivered by our competent faculty members, who have strong academic and clinical experience in their fields.

Since its establishment, our department has embraced a student-centered approach to education, supporting our students not only in developing their professional knowledge and skills but also in growing into well-rounded individuals who meet the needs of today's world. In this context, students are supported in developing innovative products, conducting scientific research and carrying out projects through student-faculty collaboration, and are encouraged to take part in academic and social activities.

Our educational approach aims to help our students build a strong professional identity grounded in professional values and ethical principles. Our primary goal is to educate professional nurses who are sensitive to the health needs of individuals, families and society; who deliver evidence-based care; who embrace lifelong learning; who think innovatively and critically; who have well-developed leadership skills; and who lead the advancement of the profession.
