Our Faculty Member Completes Professional Training in Spain under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme

Lecturer İ. Evrin Yakupoğlu, a faculty member of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at our university's Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, took part in professional training activities at the Michelin-starred Emi Restaurant in Madrid, Spain, under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility (Training) Programme.
During the mobility period, Lecturer Yakupoğlu had the opportunity to examine the restaurant's kitchen organization, preparation and service processes up close, observed current techniques in contemporary gastronomy first-hand and took part in hands-on training. At Emi Restaurant, which earned its Michelin star faster than any other restaurant in Spain, she gained theoretical and practical experience in innovative approaches to the use of 3D mould technologies in food presentation and visualization, which is also one of the focal points of her master's thesis.
In addition to contributing to the academic and professional development of our faculty member, this international mobility programme represents a valuable gain in bringing international examples of good practice into the teaching and learning activities of our department.
We congratulate our faculty member on successfully completing this international training programme and wish her continued success in her academic and professional endeavours.
