The three-day intensive training and orientation programme organized by the School of Foreign Languages (YDYO) has successfully concluded.

Throughout the programme, key areas including academic processes, assessment practices, and standardization were addressed. Comprehensive sessions were held on the roles and responsibilities of the Professional Development Unit, Testing Unit, and Materials Development Unit, as well as teacher observation processes.

As part of our commitment to continuous professional development, our guest trainers, Dr. Hakan Tarhan and Melis Akdoğan, delivered sessions focusing on key classroom practices, including effective instruction-giving, the use of ICQs and CCQs, error correction, peer and self-feedback, feed-forward, and action planning.

Ahead of the new academic year, the programme provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen team spirit, foster a shared understanding and approach, and bring the entire academic team together around common goals.
