Ölçme ve Değerlendirme

An absolute grading system is used to calculate students' final course grades. A student's performance in a course is determined by their final course grade, which is derived from an assessment of both their performance throughout the semester (midterm exams, assignments, practical work, etc.) and their performance on the final examination. Midterm exam scores account for 40% of the final grade, while the final examination score accounts for 60%. These weightings may be adjusted by a decision of the Senate; in such cases, the final examination must account for at least 30% and at most 70% of the final course grade. The specific weightings for in-semester performance and the final examination, the minimum score required on the final examination to pass the course, and the course's practical implementation plan are announced to students by the instructor in charge at the beginning of the semester. Students who do not take the final examination are considered to have failed the course. Raw exam scores are converted into a scale of 100 (one hundred) and then translated into final grades in accordance with the grading system stipulated in Article 28 of the Ankara Medipol University Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examinations. Examination results are announced in writing. The principles governing the calculation of final course grades are determined by the Senate.
