Ankara Medipol Entrepreneurship Center (AGİM)
Entrepreneurship Center
Ankara Medipol Entrepreneurship Center opened its doors to entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs in 2021, with the aim of supporting technology-, innovation- and creativity-driven entrepreneurship by establishing and developing collaborative, sustainable support mechanisms that enable start-ups to access finance, grow rapidly and internationalize.
Ankara Medipol Entrepreneurship Center was established to:
- Establish a health industry entrepreneurship center that can serve all academics, undergraduate/graduate students and alumni in Ankara, along with a sustainable business model within the project period,
- Offer pre-incubation, incubation and acceleration programs to candidates developing start-up ideas,
- Provide candidates with support such as training, acceleration programs and mentoring when applying to funding mechanisms and during the incorporation and growth stages.
In addition to integrating aspiring entrepreneurs with existing mechanisms for international engagement and access to financial resources, and increasing interaction abroad through new connections established by Medipol University;
Unlike similar centers that offer only physical facilities and consultancy support, it is a comprehensive Talent School that aims to:
- Measure candidates' entrepreneurial potential,
- Identify the personality traits of pre-screened candidates through personality analyses,
- Create a customized values and skills training program for each candidate based on their personality traits,
- Effectively prepare candidates for entrepreneurship through needs-based training, workshops and activities such as drama, scouting, creative thinking, innovation management and gamification,
- Organize inspiring entrepreneurship events for candidates,
- Generate or develop entrepreneurial ideas.
Furthermore, through Guided Entrepreneurship Support, a problem-oriented approach to entrepreneurship, the center aims to create field application opportunities and resources for business ideas in the health technologies vertical and to guide the development of business ideas focused on real-world problems.
