Curriculum

The Turkish Preparatory Program is structured in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and aims to develop the four core language skills in an integrated manner.

The program consists of four levels, each covering a nine-week course of study. The program lasts two semesters. Students receive intensive language instruction of 24 class hours per week.

The following language skills are developed throughout the program:

  • Listening skills
  • Reading skills
  • Writing skills
  • Speaking skills
  • Applied grammar

By the end of the program, students are expected to reach B2 level. Students who reach this level can understand academic texts, take part in academic discussions, and express their ideas both in writing and orally.

Student progress is monitored through midterm assessments, assignments, and end-of-level exams. The program follows a process-based assessment model that covers both the productive and receptive dimensions of language skills.
