Eye Screening Event at Sarar Primary School by Our Opticianry Program

  The Opticianry Program of the Ankara Medipol University Vocational School of Health Services conducted an eye screening for students of Sarar Primary School as part of its community engagement activities. The event was conducted by Ophthalmologist Dr. Yeşim Gedik Oğuz. Students' visual acuity was assessed, and preliminary screenings for possible refractive errors were carried out. During the screenings, students and teachers were also given basic information on protecting eye health. Lecturer Tuğba Çevik and Lecturer Muammer Çevik stated that the event both raised early awareness of student health and made a significant contribution to our university's community engagement mission. Highlighting the importance of regular eye examinations for primary school students, our university plans to continue similar social responsibility projects.
