Success of Ankara Medipol Computer Engineering First-Year Students in Game Programming Competitions

Our first-year Computer Engineering students won first and third place in Game Jam competitions on itch.io with games they developed within 48 hours.

Our team of Erdem Sönmez, Fahrettin Özkan and Tolga Yaşar won first place in the competition organized by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester on 10 April 2023 (https://itch.io/jam/uom-gamejam), which was held on the theme 'Lost in Translation' and focused on overcoming language barriers.

Our team of Erdem Sönmez, Fahrettin Özkan, Efe Uğur and Tolga Yaşar also won third place in the competition organized by California State University on 27 February 2023, which had no theme restriction (https://towzle.itch.io/hope-and-fate). The game tells the fantastical story of a person who grows with the sun and sets out to regain it.
