Students of Ankara Medipol University are entitled to education either with a full scholarship or with a 50% tuition fee discount based on the results of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS).
The scholarships and discounts granted to placed students cover only the tuition fee and are valid throughout the student’s period of study, including the compulsory preparatory class.
Expenses such as accommodation, meals, transportation, books, and educational materials are not included within the scope of scholarships and discounts.
ÖSYM scholarships and discounts provided by Ankara Medipol University are non-refundable and may only be terminated in cases of disciplinary action or horizontal transfer.
Candidates who list all of their preferences prior to placement exclusively among the associate and undergraduate programs of Ankara Medipol University, and within the scope of cooperation protocols, Istanbul Medipol University, and who are placed in a 50% discounted quota, shall be granted an additional 25% preference discount on their tuition fee.
The preference discount is valid throughout the duration of education, including the compulsory preparatory class. The preference discount earned in the enrolled program shall continue in the event of an internal horizontal transfer to quotas where the preference discount is applied during the year of enrollment.
For all associate and undergraduate programs offering compulsory preparatory education, the preparatory program tuition fee is the same as the tuition fee of the enrolled associate or undergraduate program. Any earned scholarships and discounts are also applied to preparatory tuition fees.
Students who choose to enroll in the optional preparatory program are admitted with a 25% discounted tuition fee based on the fee of their enrolled program.
Excluding Language and Verbal score types, and based on the placement score type of the undergraduate program in which the student is enrolled, the following scholarships are granted throughout the standard duration of education and the compulsory preparatory class:
Students ranked within the top 100 receive a monthly scholarship of 40,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students ranked between 101 and 250 receive a monthly scholarship of 30,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students ranked between 251 and 500 receive a monthly scholarship of 20,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students ranked between 501 and 750 receive a monthly scholarship of 13,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students ranked between 751 and 1,000 receive a monthly scholarship of 10,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
For all programs of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, based on the placement score type of the enrolled undergraduate program and valid throughout the standard duration of education and the compulsory preparatory class:
Students ranked within the top 1,000 receive a monthly scholarship of 40,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students ranked between 1,001 and 1,500 receive a monthly scholarship of 30,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students ranked between 1,501 and 2,000 receive a monthly scholarship of 20,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students ranked between 2,001 and 3,000 receive a monthly scholarship of 13,000 TRY (for 7 months per year) along with free accommodation and meals.
Students admitted through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) and students who have previously graduated from any higher education institution with an undergraduate or graduate degree are not eligible for the Outstanding Achievement Scholarship.
Scholarships are terminated for students who do not attend classes, repeat a year, or freeze enrollment during the relevant academic year.
Students who rank within the top 100 in the Higher Education Institutions Examination and complete the integrated undergraduate and master’s degree programs in Medicine, or who rank within the top 250 and complete the integrated undergraduate and master’s degree programs in Engineering at Ankara Medipol University, are provided with financial support for doctoral education.
Doctoral education must be pursued at a university ranked among the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine must pursue doctoral studies in basic sciences or engineering fields, while graduates of engineering programs must pursue doctoral studies in their respective fields.
Within this scope, a scholarship of USD 40,000 per year is provided for up to five years during the doctoral education period.
Excluding compulsory and optional preparatory classes, undergraduate students who take the full course and credit load prescribed in the curriculum for the academic year, successfully complete all courses, and achieve an Annual Grade Point Average (AGPA) of at least 2.91 out of 4.00 without taking make-up or grade improvement exams in the spring semester, and who rank within the top three of their class, shall be granted scholarships and discounts at the end of the 2025–2026 academic year under the conditions specified below.
Students admitted through horizontal transfer or the Vertical Transfer Examination must have completed at least two semesters at Ankara Medipol University.
Transferred course grades are not included in the calculation of the Annual Grade Point Average.
In the event of equal Annual Grade Point Averages, the third decimal place shall be taken into consideration for ranking.
Students who complete one or two academic semesters at another university through a student exchange program are included in the achievement ranking.
To be included in the achievement ranking, students who have transferred courses during the relevant year must take additional courses to compensate for the corresponding ECTS credits.
If a student entitled to receive an Achievement Scholarship fails to renew registration, withdraws from the university, transfers to another institution, or is dismissed for any reason, this right is not transferred to another student.
At the end of each academic year, the relevant Faculty and School Boards reassess achievement scholarships and notify the Rectorate of the students ranked within the top three. No application by the student is required.
The student ranked first in the class is granted free education in the following academic year.
The student ranked second in the class receives an additional 50% discount on the tuition fee charged.
The student ranked third in the class receives an additional 25% discount on the tuition fee charged.
If a student ranked within the top three is already fully funded, the following cash support scholarships are provided:
First place: 9,000 TRY per month (for 7 months)
Second place: 6,000 TRY per month (for 7 months)
Third place: 4,500 TRY per month (for 7 months)
The Achievement Scholarship is valid only for the following academic year.
Under the protocols signed between Ankara Medipol University and various public and private secondary education institutions and other organizations, students who are placed in associate or undergraduate programs by preferring Ankara Medipol University, and who listed all of their preferences prior to placement among the associate and undergraduate programs of Ankara Medipol University, as well as students admitted under the International Student Admission Quota, are granted additional scholarships and discounts at the rates specified in the relevant protocol on their annual tuition fees.
Graduates of Ankara Medipol University associate degree programs who gain admission to undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Examination are granted an additional 15% tuition fee discount.
In cases where more than one sibling is enrolled at the university, each sibling is granted an additional 10% discount on their tuition fees.
This discount remains valid until graduation, including the compulsory preparatory class, provided that the siblings continue their education together and none of them withdraws from the university.
Students who are not fully funded and who hold a disability report indicating a disability rate of 40% or higher are granted an additional 15% discount on their tuition fees.
Students who are not fully funded and who are children of martyrs or veterans are granted an additional 20% discount on their tuition fees. This discount is valid throughout the duration of education, including the compulsory preparatory class.
National Athlete Discount
Students who have represented the national team at least once within the last five years, who document their national athlete status through the relevant federations, and who participate in university teams or represent the university in national or international competitions, are granted an additional 50% tuition fee discount for the following academic year, provided that they do not receive any disciplinary penalties.
If the student is fully funded, an educational support payment of 3,750 TRY per month is provided for 7 months in the following academic year.
Final-year students receive an educational support payment of 3,750 TRY per month for up to 7 months in the following academic year.
Applications by national athletes wishing to participate in individual sports competitions are submitted by petition. Eligible applicants’ licensing and tournament participation records are prepared by the university.
Team Athlete Discount
Students who are not national athletes but are selected for university teams in team sports are granted an additional 25% tuition fee discount for the following academic year, provided that they actively participate in university team activities and do not receive disciplinary penalties.
If the student is fully funded, an educational support payment of 3,000 TRY per month is provided for 7 months in the following academic year.
Final-year students receive an educational support payment of 3,000 TRY per month for up to 7 months in the following academic year.
Athletes participating in more than one team may benefit from the team athlete discount only once.
Individual Athlete Achievement Award
Students who are not national athletes but participate in individual sports competitions may apply by petition. Eligible applicants’ licensing and tournament participation records are prepared by the university. Students who place within the top three in competitions are granted an additional 10% tuition fee discount for the following academic year.
If the student is fully funded, an educational support payment of 2,250 TRY per month is provided for 7 months in the following academic year.
Final-year students receive an educational support payment of up to 2,250 TRY per month for a maximum of 7 months during the remaining period of the academic year.
Athletes with disabilities are evaluated under the same conditions and benefit from the same discounts.
Team and individual athlete lists are submitted to the Rectorate by the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports and become valid upon approval by the Rectorate.
Pursuant to the protocol signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, national athletes who have documented achievements within the last four years in the sports fields listed below and who are placed based on the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Examination results are granted a 100% tuition fee discount, limited to the duration of their education, including the compulsory preparatory class.
Group 1: Athletes who have won medals in the finals of the Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, World and European Championship finals in senior categories of Olympic and Paralympic sports, and World and European Cup finals in sports without World or European Championships.
Group 2: Athletes who have won medals in World and European Championship finals in youth, junior, and cadet categories of Olympic and Paralympic sports; World and European Cup finals in sports without World or European Championships; European Games, University Games, Mediterranean Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, European Youth Olympic Festivals (summer and winter), and FISU World Championships, as well as athletes who have participated in the Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic, and Youth Olympic Games.
Group 3: Athletes who have won medals in international competitions recognized by international federations, with participation from at least 16 countries in individual sports or at least 9 national teams in team sports, and athletes who have participated in European and World Championship finals or World and European Cup finals across senior, youth, junior, and cadet categories in Olympic and Paralympic sports.
This discount covers only tuition fees and is valid throughout the duration of education, including the compulsory preparatory class.
Pursuant to the protocol signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports on 28 November 2019, a 100% education scholarship is applied.
In accordance with the protocol signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, students who enroll at Ankara Medipol University and achieve at least one top-three ranking in competitions representing the university are granted an educational support payment of 3,750 TRY per month for 7 months in the following academic year.
