Students without a Student Visa cannot be registered as students in Turkey. Thus, to register and study at AMU, all international degree-seeking and exchange students must obtain a Student Visa before entering Turkey.
Those who have Turkish citizenship or are legal dependents of someone in Turkey on a diplomatic mission or with a valid permit are exempted from this article.
Student visas cannot be obtained within Turkey. Hence, please visit the nearest Turkish Consulate in your place of residence as soon as you get your acceptance letter from AMU. You should submit a copy of your “Letter of Acceptance” and a completed visa application form, which should be obtained from the Turkish Consulate. You might be asked to pay an application fee. The process of issuing a student visa to Turkey generally varies depending on your country of residence and in some countries, it may take up to 6 weeks.
